One of Wireless Services Asia’s in-demand products is the Oracle EAGLE 5 STP (Signaling Transfer Point). From July 12 to 18 and July 24 t0 28, WSA engineers joined the Oracle EAGLE 5 STP Virtual Training & Certification Seminar conducted by Oracle for its partners in the region. The attendees from WSA included Kim Ferolino (Senior Technical Services Engineer), Michael Ponce (Senior Technical Services Engineer), George Arguelles (Technical Services Engineer) and Andrew Santos (Technical Services Engineer).
Week 1 of the certification training included Advanced Routing and SS7 Firewall. Advanced Routing topics covered Eagle 5 STP’s Flexible Linkset Optional Based Routing (FLOBR), Origin-Based SCCP Routing (OBSR), and TCAP Opcode Based Routing (TOBR). Also covered are the Global Title Translation (GTT) functions as they relate to SS7 Firewall features. Week 2 focused on EAGLE 5 STP configuration and testing.
